Orders & Purchases
"How can I access my products?"
You’ll receive an email with all your product and download information. Your plugins, license keys, and downloads will also appear in your user account under "My Plugins".
"Is it safe to make payments on your website?"
Yes! Payments on our site are handled by Shopify, the most robust and widely adopted platform for online shops. Your payment information is securely handled by Shopify's servers.
Refund Policy
Mixing Night Audio plugins are not eligible for refunds. We offer 14-day fully functional free trial versions for all our plugins for you to test them extensively. If you want to continue using our plugins after the free trial ends, you can purchase a perpetual license. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
"I need an invoice for my order"
You can download invoices for any of your past orders from your user account under "Order History".
"Can I transfer my license to another user?"
If you wish to transfer a license to another user account, please reach out to us. We will manually move your license over to the new owner. This operation is subject to an administration fee of $20 per license.
Note: If you've received your license for free (as an "NFR", or "Not-For-Resale" license), you can't transfer this license to another user. Only licenses you've purchased yourself are eligible for transfer.
"I'm using Propellerhead Reason. Will Mixing Night Audio plugins work?"
If you're using Reason, please make sure to demo our plugins first to see if they work with your current system as with Reason, compatibility highly depends on your setup and what version of Reason you use.
Older versions of Reason work with VST2 plugins while newer versions support VST3 as well. Mixing Night Audio plugins only work with the newer VST3 standard.
"Do you offer educational discounts?"
We're very passionate about education in the audio space. Therefore, we offer EDU discounts to students and teachers of audio facilities on an individual basis. If you think you qualify for an educational discount, please reach out to us via our support form.
Use the subject line "EDU discount request", and make sure to include some type of validation of your educational position so we can verify your eligibility.
Installation & Activation
Warning: 'Windows protected your PC' - What should I do?
This happens sometimes, but it’s not a real threat. If you download your plugin installers from our website, they are always clean. If you get this error message, please follow these steps:
- Click ‘More info’
- Click ‘Run anyway’
Now the plugin is installed on your system as expected.
Plugin activation
When you first load one of our plugins, you'll be prompted to either activate your license or proceed in trial mode.
Once you click "Activate License", the following screen will appear where you input your email and license key.
You can find the license keys for all your plugins in your user account under "My Plugins". Once you click "Activate" and your license information has been validated, the plugin will be activated.
Activating plugins on an offline computer
We don't offer any options for offline activation right now. In order to activate our plugins, you need to be online.
"Can I use your plugins on an offline computer?"
No. Our plugins need an online connection to periodically verify your machine is activated. It's possible to keep using our plugins in offline scenarios for a while (for example when a studio suffers from a bad internet connection, or there's a power or internet outage).
Those situations won't interrupt your sessions and our plugins will keep working. However, the plugin will ask for periodic online re-verification to prevent license abuse.
"License not found" - Plugin activation is failing
If during activation you get the "License not found" error message, this usually means the combination of your email and license key isn't correct.
Make sure to use the email of your user account, and the exact license key displayed in your account under "My Plugins". To be extra safe, use the "Copy" icon next to the license key to copy it directly, and then paste it into the plugin instead of typing it manually.
Pay special attention to any 0/O (zero/capital o) or l/I (small L/capital i) mix-ups.
If you've checked everything and are convinced it should work but doesn't, please reach out to us via our support form, and we'll get things sorted out for you as quickly as possible.
Deactivating plugins
In your user account under "My Plugins", you can see all your activated machines for any of your licenses, as well as the total amount of activations in use. Here you can also deactivate any unused machines (for example when resetting a faulty system, or setting up a new computer):
Simply click the "Deactivate" button next to the computer you'd like to deactivate, and confirm the deactivation on the warning popup. The activation will be freed up and the plugin will be deactivated on that machine.
"Can I activate your plugins on multiple computers at once?"
Yes. All licenses come with 3 machine activations. That means you can activate 3 systems at the same time with the same license key. You can also deactivate any machines you're not using anymore from within your user account under "My Plugins" in case you want to free up activations for a new system.
I need more than 3 activations
All our plugins come with 3 simultaneous machine activations. You can always deactivate a computer that's not in use anymore. If you need more than 3 activations for your setup, you have to buy an additional copy of the plugin.
Account Questions
Changing your account email
In order to change your account email, please reach out to us via our support form, and we will switch your email out for you.
Changing your account password
You can easily change your password in one of two ways:
- In your user account under "User Profile", click the "Change my password" button. Set your new password in the following screen and save it.
- Or, if you've forgotten your password and can't log in to your account anymore, use the "Forgot your password?" functionality on the login page. On password reset window you can then request a new password:
My plugins don't show up in my user account
If your user account doesn't show your plugins, here's what you can do:
- Make sure you're logged into the right account (yes, that happens!)
- If you just placed your order moments ago, did you get a confirmation email, and did the order go through? If not, it's possible there was an error during the order process. If the checkout process didn't go through to the end, then your license hasn't been created yet. Before you go and place a duplicate order, make sure this is what happened (for example by checking your recent credit card or Paypal transfers).
- If you're convinced that you should see plugin licenses in your account that aren't there, please reach out to us via our support form, and we'll get things sorted for you as quickly as possible. Make sure to include any helpful information, such as your order number or when you purchased the plugin.
Where's LOLCOMP? Is it gone?
LOLCOMP is still here, and it's part of ALLCOMP. When you install ALLCOMP, you install LOLCOMP with it (unless you de-select it during installation). The activation and presets also work across both plugins, so when you activate one, both are activated.
On the surface, everything runs under "ALLCOMP", but LOLCOMP is packaged with it. Since both are the same plugin, just with a different UI, this approach is much easier and clearer.

Troubleshooting
"Plugins don't show up in my DAW"
There are a number of reasons why your plugins aren’t showing in your DAW. Try the following solutions and see if you can solve the issue. If not, please send us a support request, and we’ll help you make it work!
- Restart your DAW.
- Restart your computer.
- Check if the plugin was installed in the correct location.
Standard macOS locations:
- AAX: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Mixing Night Audio/
- AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
- VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Mixing Night Audio/
Standard Windows locations:
- AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Mixing Night Audio\
- VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Mixing Night Audio\
If you have chosen a custom location during installation, these default locations don’t apply.
Check if the plugin location is set up in your DAW. Especially when choosing a custom location, your DAW might not find the plugin because it’s not automatically scanning the custom location. In that case, you might have to manually set the plugin path within your DAW plugin manager.
