1. Orders & Purchases
This is because of how the system is set up on our end. ALLCOMP and LOLCOMP are bundled in the same product. You buy both of them together. The product you buy is called ‘LOLCOMP’, but it contains both LOLCOMP and ALLCOMP. Both of them always come together automatically.
FastSpring is our official merchant of record. They take care of all of the Mixing Night Audio plugin sales. That’s why they appear as the vendor on your invoice and credit card bills. If you read FastSpring anywhere on your documentation, it means that the system is working just as it should.
There’s a dropdown during checkout where you can change your country of residence. The ZIP field will automatically disappear as soon as you change the country. On desktop, the dropdown is in the top right corner of your browser. On mobile, it’s directly above the checkout popup.
You’ll receive and email with all your product and download information. In addition to your plugins, license keys and downloads will appear in your user account for you to access whenever you want or need.
Mixing Night Audio plugins are not eligible for refunds. We offer 14-day trial versions for all our plugins for you to experience how it can affect your sessions. After testing our plugins for 14 days, you have the opportunity to purchase. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Reason 11 has included the possibility to load VST3 plugins through the Reason Rack. Earlier versions had to use the ReWire app. Apart from that, Reason natively only supports the VST2 standard. If you’re a Reason 11 user, please test a demo of the plugin you want to buy, and see if the Reason Rack loads it properly. If so, you’re safe and can make your purchase.
New developers are legally bound to deliver their plugins only in VST3. That means we can not provide you with VST2 versions of our Mixing Night Audio plugins. It’s on Reason to fix this and adopt the VST3 format as developers can’t do anything about it, and it affects all newer developers on the market.
2. Installation & Activation
This happens sometimes, but it’s not a real threat. If you download your plugin installers from our website, they are always clean. If you get this error message, please follow the steps as shown in the image below:
- Click ‘More info’
- Click ‘Run anyway’
Now the installer is running as expected and installs the plugin on your system.
Once you install and open your Mixing Night Audio plugins in your DAW for the first time, it will prompt you to activate it using your plugin license key (which can be found in your User Account area). Once you’ve done that, the plugin will be activated and can be used in any DAW on the activated machine.
No. You can also activate your plugin using our offline activation process, which will be accessible from the plugin during the initial activation. You will still need a different device that’s able to go online in order to follow the steps and activate your offline device.
In order to activate our plugins on an offline machine, you first have to open the plugin in your DAW. You’ll be given an activation screen where you can activate the plugin.
At the bottom of this screen, click the “Are you offline?” link. The link will take you to the following screen:
From here, you can follow the steps that are outlined on this screen. First, click the “Save ID File” button, which will save a unique file to your machine. You then have to take this file and move it to an online computer. There, you go to mixingnightaudio.com and log into your user account. In your user account, your find your GreenHAAS license and a button saying “Offline Activation”.
After clicking this button, you’ll see the following window:
Please drag and drop the file you’ve copied over from the offline machine earlier into the highlighted area. Now, the website will automatically generate your license file and download it to your default download folder.
Make sure you don’t have downloads blocked or any other system in place that prevents your browser from downloading your license file. This might also happen if you have disabled Javascript or other essential browser functionalities.
Finally, you copy this new license file over to your offline machine and click on the “Load Activation File” button. Upon selecting your new activation file (it has the extension .mno), GreenHAAS will activate itself, and you’re good to go.
We are currently working on a solution for you to be able to deactivate your unused machines from your account area. At the moment, while this option isn’t available yet, once you need to free up an activation, please email us at support@mixingnightaudio.com with the machine you would like to deactivate. We will then take care of the deactivation for you.
No. If you need more activations, you have to buy an additional copy of the same plugin.
Yes, you can’t copy and paste the license key or write an “@” sign because Reaper is programmed in a way that DAW shortcuts overwrite actions that are taken in the plugin. That’s an issue many plugin manufacturers have with Reaper, and it’s specifically with German keyboard formats (since the “@” is “Alt/Option+L”, which is a Reaper shortcut). The only way to work around this is by temporarily changing your keyboard format to US. Then you can hit “Shift+2” in order to get the “@” symbol. Unfortunately, the license key still needs to be typed in manually. We hope Reaper will fix this issue soon.
3. User Account
You will find a link stating, “Change Email?” in your User Account. Once you click it, a popup box will appear where you can update your email address. Once updated, you have to confirm your new email address by clicking on a confirmation link in an email you will get from our system.
At the top of the User Account section, you will find a link stating, “Change Password?”Once you click the link, a popup box will appear, allowing you to update your password. Note that your new password needs to have at least 9 characters, with at least one special character among them.
You can utilize the “Lost your password?” option on the Login page, or click here and start the password update process.

5. Troubleshooting
In some instances, you might run into issues when registering the plugin. This might have to do with the way your internet provider is set up, or your security systems are configured. Usually, in this case, you’ll get the following screen when trying to activate your plugin:
Here’s what you can do in this case:
- Wait a couple minutes and see if there was just a temporary problem with our server or with your internet connection. The registration might work when you try it again after a few minutes.
- If you keep getting this error, please try the offline activation method (see walkthrough in the FAQ area “2. Installation and Activation”).
- If it still doesn’t work for you, please email us at support@mixingnightaudio.com, and we’re happy to help you out!
There are number of reasons why your plugins aren’t showing in your DAW. Try the following solutions and see if you can solve the issue. If not, please send us a support ticket, and we’ll help you make it work!
- Restart your DAW.
- Restart your computer.
- Check if the plugin was installed in the right location.
Standard macOS locations:
AAX: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plugins/Mixing Night Audio/
AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Mixing Night Audio/
Standard Windows locations:
AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Mixing Night Audio\
VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Mixing Night Audio\
If you have chosen a custom location during installation, these default locations don’t apply. - Check if the plugin location is set up in your DAW. Especially when choosing a custom location, your DAW might not find the plugin because it’s not automatically scanning that location. In that case, you might have to manually set the plugin path within your DAW plugin manager.
Every Mixing Night Audio plugin you purchase comes with 3 activations. That means you can activate up to 3 machines with one license. Once you open one of our plugins for the first time on any particular machine within your DAW, you’re prompted to activate it using our online or offline activation process. After activating the plugin on that particular machine, you’ll be able to use it with any DAW.
Sometimes, Presonus Studio One doesn’t automatically scan plugin preset folders unless you actively prompt it to. Here’s how you do it:
On the right-hand menu, select the “Effects” tab, and click the wrench icon close to it. Then, find GreenHAAS in your plugin list and right-click it. Now you’ll have the option to choose “Refresh”, which will prompt Studio One to scan the plugin and preset directories. From that moment on, GreenHAAS should have all presets available.
That’s correct. Unfortunately, Propellerhead Reason only accepts the VST2 standard for plugins while our plugins are VST3 (which is the standard nowadays, and new developers can’t develop plugins in VST2). As long as Propellerhead Reason doesn’t update their software to incorporate the VST3 standard, we’re sorry you won’t be able to use our plugins with Reason.
Some DAWs (such as FL Studio) don’t display plugin presets correctly or make them not work correctly. In FL Studio on Mac, for example, you have to do a clumsy workaround (as of now) to load the presets manually and be able to use them. In order to do that, you need to:
- Go to the plugin settings dialog -> Presets -> Load… and open the preset file.
- The preset location is ~/Library/Audio/Presets/Mixing Night Audio/ (~/Library/ may be hidden so CMD+Shift+G let’s you paste the path)
- Save the preset as a fruity loops plugin preset if desired
